Present Moment Speech

When emotions prompt our words, we can easily say things we later regret. Anger in our speech benefits no one

Here’s a gentle little book that will open your mind to how language can help or hinder us. Developing our vocabulary and understanding how to improve our use of language holds great value.

Mindful speech centres around ensuring we hold back our verbal responses until we’re confident our words won’t cause harm. This harm can either be to ourselves or others. The little book mentioned above highlights, amongst other things, how we programme ourselves through words. Through becoming mindful of our speech, we can improve our lives from the inside out.

When present and our state of mind is neutral and non-judgemental, our tendency is silence. If we choose to respond, our words will reflect the present moment only. Our true personality will shine through

It’s my belief that in the moments when we’re free from all the conditioning and clutter of the past, our true personality is able to shine through. When we stop judging the situation, our true selves will shine.

Can it be the case that when we release ourselves from the influence of the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves and others, our personalities change? With the mind fully in the present moment – through becoming a mindfulness practitioner – can we be free of the negative influences of the past? Can we always speak in the gentle, loving tones that promote compassion and peace? When we do, we’re offering this to ourselves. We’re offering ourselves love.
